FIELD: technological surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method includes perforation of opening on flat peripheral section of control rod and extrusion of circular groove around the opening. On the opposite side the metal is extruded in the gap. The gap is created by internal wall of matrix and puncheon cylindrical part. The produced circular bulge is directly adjacent to the opening. The control rod that is manufactured by this method consists of central part and two flat peripheral sections with openings.
EFFECT: reduction of technological operations quantity; simplification of rigging structure and creation of control rod with sufficient strength in transverse section on flat peripheral sections.
