FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: railway car backbone beam consists of the two z-like sections between which, in cantilever, are fixed as a set the front and back stops. The front stop includes socket (4) located on the side of automatic coupler head and having an elongated upper shelf (11) accommodating support seats (5) receiving upper heads (6) of suspension brackets (7) on the lower heads (8) of which attached is centering bar (9) to make a support for automatic coupler shaft (10). The end face surface of front stop socket top shelf (11) is provided with a recess wider than the automatic coupler head surface width by the value sufficient to ensure the automatic coupler absorbing travel and to equal the increase in length of centering bar coupling length (12).
EFFECT: decreased wear of the centering bar support surface and the mating surface of the automatic coupler shaft.
