DEVICE FOR REMOVING ALGAE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A01D44/00

Abstract RU 2327334 C1

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in devices for removing algae seaweed from water reservoirs floor. The device contains a frame connected to a catamaran on pontoon supports, electrically-driven continuous flexible conveyors with the drum spools and float chambers with metal skeleton ladles. The said device includes also devices for loading and unloading. Ladles, in cross-section, are made in the form of a ring or a rectangular or a trapezoid. Every float chamber has the bellow tightly connected to the float chamber bottom and lamellar mechanical plates. Cavities of bellow can reduce their volume at immersing ladles in water on one side of the conveyor and increase their volume at moving loaded ladles from below upwards on the other side of the conveyor. The loading device incorporates an electrically-driven mower and the device for a unloading is provided with a grinder and a centrifuge.

EFFECT: high efficiency and ruling out damaging the root system of algae.
