SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to furniture in passenger carriages. Sleeping berths of a passenger carriage comprise of a frame with longitudinal and cross-sectional structures, connected at the bottom on the pallet for accommodating soft stuffing, pivot for joining the wall end frames with the supporting structure of the carriage, flexible covering (8) and an element for fixing the sleeping berth in a raised position. Under the pallet there is a niche, which is confined by the edges of the longitudinal and cross-sectional structures, which are in the form of t-piece elements, each having a beveled rounded edge. Lamellar bedding is attached to the frame (7) for fixing flexible covering, which keeps the soft element pressed down by the lamellar bedding (12). The contour of the rounded edge is elastically pressed to the edge with lamellar and fastened, placed on the floor of the pallet, inside of which the sidewalls are fixed holders for joining elastic clamps. Pivots of each wall are detachable with the capability of being changed. Means of fastening are couplings (27), passed through the holes of the lamellar, support material and the bottom side.

EFFECT: increases the passengers comfort.
