ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN PUMP UNIT Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC F04D13/14

Abstract RU 2329401 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed electrically-driven pump unit (EDPU) relates to machine building and may be used in thermal control systems incorporated with airplanes and rockets. The EDPU has a housing (H) with inlet and outlet unions. In the housing through bore two electrically driven centrifugal pumps are arranged on its opposite sides. A double-way check valve is arranged between the EDPU diffusers (D) in the housing cylindrical space the axis of which is parallel to the housing through bore. The housing cylindrical space is a through one, while diffusers are tapered. The diffusers axes are perpendicular to the housing cylindrical space axis. The through service holes with plugs fitted thereto are arranged in the housing aligned with tapered diffusers, the aforesaid holes coming into the housing cylindrical space. The inlet and outlet unions are made integral with the housing. The housing cylindrical space end faces are stopped by plugs.

EFFECT: higher reliability and manufacturability of the pump unit.
