FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instruments for monitoring liquid and loose media levels at stock tanks, in cement industry and elevators, and etc. Substance: instrument includes capacitive sensor, adjustable generator of reference frequency, meters 1 and 2, startup circuits, trigger, microprocessor-based signal processing unit, measuring reference section of known length, adjustable generator for measuring section. Reference section of sensor is connected with reference frequency generator input, while its output is connected with counting input of meter 1. Meter 1 output is linked with setting input 1 of trigger through startup circuit. Trigger output 2 is also connected with adjustable generator 1 input, meter 1 input "Start" and microprocessor input. Measuring electrode of sensor is linked with adjustable generator input of measuring section and its output is connected with counting input of meter 2. Meter 2 output is connected with setting trigger input 2 through startup circuit. Trigger input 1 is linked with adjustable generator input of measuring section and meter 2 input "Start".
EFFECT: improvement of level metering accuracy owing to due account of dielectric properties of sediments.
