FIELD: hydro acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for examination of parameters of primary hydro acoustic fields of above and under water floating objects. The method consists in location of a hydro acoustic receiving module in a specified region of a natural water body, in directing of an examined sonar noise generating object towards the receiving module, in taking measurements of parameters of the sonar noise generating object with the receiving module, and in a following computer processing of the said measurements. At that as a receiving module a combined hydro acoustic receiver is used wherein a vector receiver and a receiver of an acoustic pressure are diversed in a space within the region of the receiving module at a distance not exceeding 0.2 λ where λ is a minimal registered length of an acoustic wave in the band of a noise emission of the noise generating object. As a measured parameter the receiving module takes the acoustic power of the noise generating object registered in a plane oriented along the trajectory of the object movement.
EFFECT: increased information data on examined primary hydro acoustic fields of a primary object.
