FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves mixture of acid and alkali sewage, neutralisation of the obtained mix by lime milk, flocculant treatment, settling and separation of clarified part and sludge, when the clarified part is sent to an industrial sewer, while the sludge is separated into solid and liquid phase. After the mixture suspended solids are extracted from sewage, the sewage is mixed with drain water left from suspended solids extraction, and the obtained mix is stirred and neutralised. Flocculant is 0.1% solution of Praestol at the rate of 1.5-3 m3/hour for total sewage flow under 650 m3/hour, and additionally at the rate of 0.2 m3/hour per 1 m3 of sludge before sludge separation into solid and liquid phase. After the sludge separation the liquid phase is sent to sewage mixture. Sewage is treated with lime milk and flocculant for 5-8 minutes.

EFFECT: reduced discharge pollution and reagent costs; improved efficiency of treatment of sewage with high content of suspended solids and output of the process.
