FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to turbines, in particular, to a diffuser to allow aligning the flows. Shafts (134, 136) of turbines (110, 112) arranged upstream and downstream are coupled by coupling device (138). Space (130) between the said turbines accommodates diffuser (150) designed to recover kinetic energy and to minimise ventilation losses and those caused by fast rotation because of the coupling being open towards the direction of flow path along the turbines. Radial inlet channel (145) allows additional feed of fluid medium into the aforesaid space and turning it axially and circumferentially to get aligned with the flow coming out of the turbine arranged upstream so as to form a combined flow coming into the downstream turbine. Invention allows decreasing the losses caused by mixing of the additional fluid medium flow coming into the aforesaid space between the upstream and downstream turbines.
EFFECT: lower losses in axially-coupled turbines.
