FIELD: information technology, entertainment.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gaming equipment is connected with multiple "sets of gaming USB-periphery". These sets include one or more peripheral units that exchange information with the main gaming controller and use USB-connection interface. USB-connection architecture may include classes protocol of USB units of the specific supplier company. The classes protocol of USB units of the specific supplier company may include: 1) basic protocol for defining messages processing that refer to functional abilities of peripheral devices and are common for multiple peripheral units; and 2) one or more protocol's extension for specific preferences for defining messages processing that are specific for USB-customisation. Moreover, each protocol extension defines messages about specific customisation. The basic protocol can be designed in such way that it doesn't change when modifying one of the specific customization messages.
EFFECT: this invention allows simplifying the software development and testing process in gaming equipment.
