FIELD: oil and gas.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the oil industry and can be used for recovery of gas and water filtering from sand. The well screen with a cleaning function is designed as a pipe with nipple threaded portions, on one of which a coupling sleeve is installed, and with openings at the pipe side surface. A filter element is installed concentrically with the pipe. The filter element is designed as two electrodes insulated from each other by a mesh made of a non-conductive material. The electrodes are designed as metallic mesh and can be connected to a power supply. The power supply is placed on the surface or made independent, for example, in the form of a cell battery or an electric power generator, and is installed inside the well screen.
EFFECT: increased well production rate due to periodical filter element cleaning.
