FIELD: medicine; veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: biological preparation including hydrolysate of blood which is brought to pH 3.5-4.0 by adding milk, benzoic and amber acids at the following ratio of components, in wt %: lactic acid - 0.3-0.4; Acidum benzoicum - 0.04-0.05; amber acid - 0.1-0.2; the rest being blood hydrolysate. The said biological preparation is given to chickens with forage or with water for 10 days in the quantity of 4 ml per bird.
EFFECT: method allows for raising immunity of birds, enlarging daily average gain of weight, reducing consumption of forage and replacing antibacterial preparations.
