FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electro-magnetic parameter non-destructive quality control devices and can be used for flaw location. The metal product flaw detection device incorporates a casing, a magnetic field source and a signal pickup. The dielectric material casing is furnished with a cylindrical groove on its one end face and two annular concentric slots on its other end face. The magnetic field source represents a cylindrical ferrite core with a circular slot on its end face furnished with an excitation winding, the said source being located in the casing cylindrical groove. The signal pickup is made up of four arc-like permalloy cores furnished with signal windings enveloping the said cores arranged in pairs and in symmetry inside the casing circular grooves. The signal windings being connected in a bridge circuit. The device comprise also a balancing device made up of three screws arranged in the casing threaded holes around the said ferrite core through 120 degrees in the plane perpendicular to the casing axis.
EFFECT: higher sensitivity, greater depth of flaw location, higher accuracy and expanded performances.
