FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns UHF systems and can be used for power transmission within high-frequency path sections. Waveguide rotator is designed as cardan joint with plugs functioning as waveguide segments, and crossbar having internal waveguide channel coupled with waveguide channels of cardan joint plugs. Adjacent concentric surfaces of plugs and cardan joint crossbars are mutually rotatable around rotation axes coinciding with cardan joint axes. The said adjacent concentric surfaces of plugs and cardan joint crossbars can be represented by links of two rotary cylindrical pairs. Cardan joint plugs and crossbars junctions can be supplied with bearings. Cylindrical surfaces of crossbar can be provided with choke grooves and cavities for absorbing inserts. Choke grooves can be made in walls of cardan joint plugs.
EFFECT: simultaneous rotation of high-frequency path by two axes, reduced inherent radiation losses, improved durability, design rigidity, increased vibration strength, simplification of design, production technique and assembly of high-frequency path, possibility to create biaxial waveguide rotary joints of wide frequency range.
