FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: input shaft of transmission is connected with engine, and output shaft is connected with vehicle mover. Positive-displacement hydromechanical transmission contains three-link differential gear train and hydrostatic power drive with two hydraulic interconnected hydraulic units. One of hydraulic units is made adjustable and is connected with input shaft and another is made non-adjustable and is connected with differential gear train. Transmission is equipped with additional stepped mechanical transmission built-in in parallel with positive-displacement hydromechanical transmission and directly connecting input shaft with output shaft. Positive-displacement hydromechanical transmission and additional stepped mechanical transmission are alternatively engaged by control unit, for instance by changeover clutch functionally connected with clutch and brake which are provided in one of differential links.
EFFECT: simplification of cinematics for power transfer from engine to output shaft, reduction of hydraulic units displacement and fuel consumption, and improving efficiency of transmission.
