FIELD: physics, lighting technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns lighting technology, particularly illumination. Method of light effect setup involves replacement of rigid links between light emitters in garland mesh by "flexible" link over key elements to allow creation of virtual garlands. Then virtual garland patterns are selected. In the obtained garlands light emitter element combinations are formed. Garland flashing frequency is selected within 0.5÷20 Hz range. Light effect setup device includes power source, controller and mesh formed by light emitter garlands. Key elements are installed between light emitters to form matrix, e.g. diode matrix. Matrix is controlled over a controller.
EFFECT: extended functional capacity of illumination due to additional light effect setup using light emitters on the base of controllers.
