FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device incorporates a set of revolving shafts arranged parallel to log travel. The said shafts are furnished with a number of teeth extending beyond the shaft outer surface and are designed to bark the logs in a direction transverse relative to the log feed, the logs being moved crosswise relative to the shafts. The shafts and the teeth form a supporting surface along which the logs are transferred via the debarking device. Here note that the shafts are matched together so as to allow the logs to be debarked to move in the debarking device along the circumference forced by their own rotary motion over the supporting surface formed by the shafts occupying in turns the top position, from which they roll down over the other logs being debarked into the debarking device. The uppermost shaft is arranged in the supporting surface to form with the aforesaid shaft a slot terminating in the shaft sense of rotation.
EFFECT: ruling out logs locking between debarking shaft and side wall and lock log destruction.
