FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: submerged twin screw pump incorporates a motor, an upper vertical screw-holder pair and a lower vertical screw-holder pair linked with the base. The said pairs feature opposed screw surfaces and are linked via a twin eccentric coupling. The screw cross section in every aforesaid pair is formed by a circumference with its center shifted relative to the screw axis by magnitude of eccentricity. The screws of the lower and upper pairs represent, in cross section, the different-diameter circumferences that ensure a directed axial load in the pump operation. The values of eccentricity, the number of pairs and the backlash in the said pairs are equal.
EFFECT: increase of reliability and durability of electrically-driven pump for oil extraction work.
