SUBSTANCE: analysed sample is placed in front of the detector; radiation is recorded; detector pulses are amplified and transferred to display, thus between analysed sample and detector ball-shaped probe reciprocating perpendicularly and/or in parallel of detector surface is mounted. And by shadowgraph of ball-shaped probe knowing diameter and material of ball-shaped probe, distance from position-sensitive radiation-measuring instrument to the centre of ball-shaped probe, on the basis of triangle similarity, radiation source presence in analysed object, source type, direction to this source and distributed source size are evaluated.
EFFECT: express analysis of cargoes and materials; detection of latent source and direction.
