FIELD: water engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to land improvement and can be used during operation of built drain systems and during agricultural use of lands drained by closed drainage. Method preventing water from freesing in wellhead tube of closed header includes water rise in open channel of drain system located above wellhead tube of closed header prior to winter season beginning. When winter season begins, and after water is frozen in channel, and there is ice cover therein, water shall be drained from channel to water receiver.
EFFECT: invention prevents water freesing and ice blockage formation in wellhead tube of closed header This provides continuous operation of closed drainage during the whole winter and spring seasons, which is a reliable background for securing heavier crops.
