FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes alignment of rod with short mandrel in centering rollers, its displacement to the center of deformation and back along rolling axis with outloading rollers, which are installed before and after thrust-adjustment mechanism, at that rate of 4-6 m/sec, and then, when the back end of rod comes out of rollers installed after thrust-adjustment mechanism, or the front end comes out of rollers installed before thrust-adjustment mechanism, the rate is reduced down to 0.5-0.7 m/sec for accurate installation of rod with mandrel to the center of deformation or for installation at the outlet side of mill.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and improvement of cartridges quality.
