FIELD: measuring techniques.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device is made from two different-level airtight floats, which are in form of two pipes, whose free end is put into the medium, and the second of which is fixed on separate tensometric beams, the bases of which are rigidly joined to the base of the device. Outputs of tenso-bridges are joined through a tenso-amplifier to the input of a standard controller. Their outputs are joined to the input of an extra differential amplifier, the output of which also connected to the third input of the controller. The controller calculates the level in accordance with the division of the result of conversion of tenso-signals by density, the information of which is conveyed by the output signal of the differential amplifier. The difference of the levels of the floats h, is chosen from the condition where ΔUmax is the maximum voltage at the output of the differential amplifier, ρmax is the maximum measured density, S is the cross sectional area of the floats, and g is gravitation acceleration.
EFFECT: change in measurement time constant, wider range of application of the density-level meter.
