FIELD: machine construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine construction and construction, namely to constructions of fixing hardware. A dowel pin contains a rod with longitudinal corrugation, a head and arrowhead and made from steel containing carbon 0.57÷0.79 wt %, manganese 0.3÷0.95 wt %, chrome till 0.35 wt %, silicon 0.11-0.56 wt % and nickel till 0.35 wt % with a bainitic structure, obtained by isothermal hardening, including heating to 810÷830°C, keeping it there for 35÷45 minutes then cooling in saline liquid, having a temperature of 230÷280°C, for 30÷35 minutes. The profile of the projections of the corrugation executed in the form of an isosceles triangle with a rounded of top. The height of the triangle is equal to 0.010÷0.018 of the diameter of the shank, and the angle at the tip is α=80°÷90°.
EFFECT: increasing working efficiency due to removing the possibility of bending and brittle rupturing in the process driving it in, and also increasing the holding capability.
