FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to electric engineering and can be used in outdoor switchgear cabinets and which accommodate technical, e.g. electrical or optical, switchgear for instance for weak-current (e.g. telephone) systems with corresponding electric power supply units and devices for cable input and output and connecting devices for particular region. Method of size increasing for outdoor switchgear cabinet housing consists in the following: old switchgear cabinet housing is removed and new base which is hollow in plane view is put onto old mounting frame and old base. It is installed on subbase and aligned. Then new housing is put on (that has at least the same internal space as old housing) over old mounting frame, aligned and fixed. Construction set for new put-on unit of switchgear cabinet contains hollow in plane view base, housing, at least one top unit, side walls, rear wall and at least one door comprising housing shell and at least one lifting lug. The base contains interconnected parts, among other things at least one box hollow in plane view, and legs protruding at sides out of base box and base legs plate. Base leg plates in plane view only reach the position corresponding to thickness of base box side walls from below and inside.
EFFECT: increase in size of switchgear cabinet housing without need to get new permission for installation and construction.
