FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of evaluation of polymer materials properties employed in technical means for oil products provision, particularly in reservoirs, branches, filter elements, pipelines, means for swapping, automobile filling stations and facilities for transportation, barrels, canisters, cylinders, elastic sealing elements and etc. This is obtained owing to the following: after subjecting samples to the effect of an oil product each of samples is coated with an elastic casing of fuel resistant polymer material. Selection of grade of material is determined during period of the oil product effecting on samples of polymer material, for the purpose of which there are defined maximum permeability of the oil product P max g/m² day through material for elastic casing, breaking load F em, reference tensile strength σ em, specific elongation at break L em; and at maintaining inequality P max≤10 g/m² day; F em≤F₀ pm; σ em≤σ₀ pm; L em>L₀ pm after oil product effecting samples of polymer material are sealed in elastic casings, dimensions of which are not to exceed dimensions of trial samples for more, than 25%; then physic-mechanic properties identical to source ones are determined.

EFFECT: upgraded accuracy and credibility of results due to elimination of volatile fractions evaporation off sample surface.
