FIELD: agricultural industry; mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: potato digger consists of a frame, knives, and shares meant for digging under the soil. Between every two shares and along their external sides there located are walls made of rods of circular cross section and attached to the frame and knives. Width of shares is 35 cm, and they dig just under bulb-containing layers.

EFFECT: reducing resistances of soil layer to shares, reducing energy consumption, crop losses and damageability of bulbs, increasing productivity, improving soil separation, and decreasing wear and tear of parts and assemblies of the device.
