SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to compositions of malleable iron. It can be used in machine building. Malleable iron contains wt %: carbon 2.5-2.9, silicon 0.8-1.2, manganese 0.1-0.2, cerium 0.2-0.4, samarium 0.2-0.4, calcium 0.005-0.009, cobalt 0.02-0.4, iron - the rest.
EFFECT: increased hardness of iron.
