FIELD: motors and engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to facilities of working process maintenance in liquid-propellant thruster chambers that operate preferably in pulse mode. Method consists in supply of main part of fuel components into flow core of combustion chamber and creation of low-temperature wall layer nearby walls of combustion chamber and nozzle by supply of one of fuel components to wall. According to invention, temperature is monitored in specified point, and fuel component is supplied to wall only after limit specified temperature is achieved in monitored point, and component supply is interrupted, when temperature drops below specified value or when engine is stopped. Liquid-propellant thruster comprises body of chamber with mixing head, manifold of fuel components supply with supply valves and nozzle elements for creation of flow core, and nozzle elements of wall screen. At that nozzle elements of wall screen are communicated to manifold of one of fuel components supply via additional supply valve, controlled by control unit commands connected to temperature detector installed in monitored point of chamber body.
EFFECT: provision of engine efficiency at the mode of single start-ups of short duration and provision of reliable thermal protection at continuous modes of operation.
