FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: proposed single-plane tilt sensor is designed for measuring deviation angles from the vertical of different devices and objects, for example, in security systems of different platforms, for measuring tilt angles of hydraulic structures and systems for monitoring different buildings. The sensor consists of a housing, central pendulum plate, fixed on corundum supports on a magnetoelectric damper with power adjustment, side plates and an electronic balanced mixer. The side plates are mechanically fixed to the housing. In the upright position of the housing of the sensor, the side plates are equidistant from the central plate and at positions, which correspond to tilt angle of the central plate of 2.5°.
EFFECT: increased linearity and accuracy of the sensor readings.
