FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to radio electronics, particularly to electronic semiconductor thermometry. The invention can most efficiently be used in making precision and noise-resistant systems for remote measurement of temperature in modern diagnostic and physiotherapeutic medical techniques. This objective can be met by minimising self-heating temperature of the measuring sensor and, consequently, reduction of the dynamic error of measurement. The measuring sensor used is an S-diode, with high sensitivity of threshold ON voltage to temperature, of approximately 50÷350 mV/K. The method comprises two stages. The device for implementing the method comprises a generator of count pulses, unit for generating ON voltage pulses, a temperature sensitive PN-structure with an S-shaped current-voltage curve, a generator of packets of count pulses and a first counter of pulses in packets, as well as a temperature display unit. The device also contains a second ring counter, two ROM subunits, a digital-to-analogue converter, an interrupter switch, a read pulse ratio setter, an address storage register and two delay timing lines. The PN-structure is in form of a temperature sensitive S-diode.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measuring temperature.
