FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and particularly to low-voltage instrument-making industry. The main and additional rotary bridges are installed in the circuit breaker inside the rotary drum groove on the axis of the main bridge. It is installed so that it can make reciprocal movements along the axis under electro-dynamic attracting force. The circuit breaker is provided with compact fast-acting mechanisms to disconnect pressure springs, which are actuated when contacts are opened under electro-dynamic force due to moving bridges. Each mechanism is installed as a unit in a drum pocket consisting of a running cup, support roller provided with stop flat, insertions and retainer pin. The stop flat contacts with bridge shoulder. There is a pressure spring between the above insertions. In addition the circuit breaker is ensured with limiting pins. Compensating openings are made in each shoulder of rotary bridges opposite to each other. The limiting pins are inserted into compensating openings of the rotary bridges and linked with the above openings by retraction springs hooks. The other hooks are fixed to retainer pins.
EFFECT: improved current-limiting properties when short circuit currents are disconnected.
