FIELD: household goods and personal effects.

SUBSTANCE: folding set of shelves, comprises a number of shelves for books or paperbacks or similar objects, and at least one supporting element, which crosses each shelf (1) and is pivot-connected thereto to produce an X-shaped structure with the shelf. This makes it possible to fold the set of shelves from demonstration position to storage position by changing distance between adjacent legs of X-shaped structure. Supporting element comprises a rod passing through a shelf to provide for pivot joint. Each rod consists of longitudinal sections, which form legs of X-shaped structure, and at least one cross member run through the hole in the shelf to provide for pivot joint.

EFFECT: simplified and efficient design.
