FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designing and operation of thermal compressors. The proposed thermal compressor comprises a high-pressure gas source with at least one compressor connected thereto, a device intended for thermocycling of the compressors and a heater. The compressors represent the cylinders-compressors, while the thermocycling device represents a thermally insulated vessel filled with a heat carrier and furnished with a heat exchanger and a fluid flow formation device, all previously mentioned components being arranged inside the said vessel in the heat carrier medium. Note that the said heat exchanger inlet communicates with the frost source, while its outlet communicates with atmosphere. Note also that, in compliance with the first version, the heater represents an electrical heater accommodated in a tight casing on the aforesaid part of the vessel. In compliance with the second version, the heater represents a jacket with circulating heat carrier attached onto the vessel casing under thermal insulation. In compliance with the third version the heater represents a jacket made from carbon fabric connected to power supply and attached on the vessel outer surface under thermal insulation.
EFFECT: high purity of gases pumped into consumers' cylinders and higher efficiency.
