FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: electrodes are L-shaped with active vertical part, length of which is selected depending on tumor prominence, and auxiliary horizontal part, to free end of which flexible electric wire is rigidly fixed for connection to device for electrochemical lysis (ECL). Electric wire, horizontal part and the following 2 mm of electrode vertical part are coated by insulating material. Method for insertion of electrodes for electrochemical destruction of intraocular tumors consists in transscleral insertion of electrodes in tumor by means of spear with adjustable length and cannulas 25 G perpendicularly to sclera on the line of largest diameter of base at the distance of 2.5-3.5 mm in both sides from center of tumor base at a certain depth. Depth is determined according to data of preliminary ultrasonic examination: tumor height at the distance of 2.5-3.5 mm by sclera from center of tumor base minus 1.5-2 mm.

EFFECT: minimum damage of eye structures and tissues during insertion of electrodes and performance of ECL, no necessity to perform additional surgical manipulations on completion of ECL, limitation of destruction by tumor volume.
