FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is applicable to the oil and gas industry and can be used in oil and gas production. The well filter includes a support frame made from a perforated pipe and filtering elements from made pressed wire materials and installed on the support frame in the circular slots of carrier rings that are secured with a female threaded top sub and a male threaded bottom sub. A drainage layer made from wire spirally wound onto the support frame is installed between the support frame and each filtering element. The filter is externally covered with a protective perforated housing. The filter is demountable and filtering elements are removable. Each filtering element consists of multiple layers. Filtering layers are separated from each other by means of drainage layers made from spirally mounted wire. Drainage layer wire is wound in different directions for each drainage layer and has a larger diameter than filtering element wire. The removable filtering elements are interconnected with intermediate double-T cross section carrier rings.

EFFECT: improved filtration capacity and liquid and gas filtration quality, and an increased well filter life.
