FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: device is intended to provide for transfer of torque from the motor to the rototiller wheels and/or tiller tools via a V-belt transmission. The rototiller reduction gear consists of a housing, an input shaft (4), star gear units (6, 7) and output semi-shafts (18, 19) with a double star gear (17). On each semi-shaft (18, 19) there is a half-coupling rigidly fixed (22) having an extension (23). The half-couplings (22) extensions (23) are fixedly inserted in the circular open-ended slots (27) of the double star gear (17). In case of the rototiller motion across an uneven surface (or at turning) the half-coupling (22) extension (23) connected to the wheel moving over the road irregularities (the outside wheel) unlinks from the wall of the circular open-ended slot (27) and travels along the circular path inside it. The outside wheel is allowed to operate in the "free motion" mode until the extension (23) hits the slot (27) opposite wall.
EFFECT: facilitation of the rototiller control in case of motion across an uneven surface and/or at turning; improved manoeuvring capability combined with enhanced fuel efficiency.
