FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to disposal of ammunition. The method of disassembling ammunitions, loaded with amatol charge, involves extraction of the charge from the ammunition casing by applying onto the surface of the charge, a water jet at 85-100°C temperature and 0.3-0.5 mPa pressure for dissolving ammonium nitrate and melting trotyl, contained in amatol. The formed solution of ammonium nitrate and molten trotyl are separated into a container for their gravitational separation. The obtained ammonium nitrate solution is channelled to the surface of the charge at 85-100°C temperature and 0.3-0.5 mPa pressure, with measurement of the density of the ammonium nitrate solution. Extraction of charge from the case is stopped when density of the solution reaches 1.15-1.2 g/cm3. The resulting solution of ammonium nitrate and molten trotyl is separated through gravitational settling.
EFFECT: provision for ecologically clean disposal of ammunitions, loaded with amatol, and obtaining secondary products, suitable for use as industrial explosives.
