FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in silicon productions to separate water and hydrogen chloride aqueous solutions from silicon fluids. Method includes emulsion representing disperse aqueous phase and nonconducting silicon fluid continuum is exposed to electric field generated with omnipresent and/or alternating electric potential applied to one or more electrodes, at field strength 2 to 12 kV/cm, field strength gradient 1.0 to 40 kV/cm and current density (0.1÷10)·10-6 mA/cm2, at specific volume electric power (1.2÷20)·10-3 Wt/dm3. Device is provided with the electrodes inside of enclosure made of conducting grid, rolled as either rotary bodies, or a prism, or one or more lines of vertical strings or rod arranged in the closed line.
EFFECT: higher electrocleaning efficiency.
