METHOD OF PIPES PRODUCTION ON CONTINUOUS PIPE-WELDING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B21C37/06 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal deformation process. Particularly it relates to production of welded pipes on continuous pipe-welding machines. Method includes candies welding into constant bead, its deformation with defined ratio by means of rollers of bending-tension unit of reversed plastic bending with tension, strip forming into pipe shell, welding of its edges and calibration of welded pipe. Width of candy is increased for certain value (ΔB). By means of change of total quantity of angles for all strip bending it is regulated draw-forming at maximum allowed level(λ_max) in cases, when gauge strip thickness is more or equal to maximum allowed thickness (h_min). With reduction of draw-forming in cases when gauge strip thickness is less than h_min, till values when thickness will become equal to h_min, or till equality of degree of draught for unity. Values h_min, ΔB and λ_max are regulated by mathematical relationships.

EFFECT: invention provides reduction of metal consumption, exclusion of becoming of pipes sections with wall thickness lower than minimum permissible, and decreasing of pipe-welding machines downtime and metal wastes ensured by reduction of butt break likelihood.
