DEVICE FOR TRANSFORMER PROTECTION AGAINST OVERLOAD Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H02H9/06 H02H7/04

Abstract RU 2352045 C2

FIELD: electrics.

SUBSTANCE: device includes 6 dischargers (1-6) with electrodes. Protected transformer (7) features primary and secondary windings (8), (9). Also device includes unit (10) of second discharger 2 actuation by secondary winding (9) overload, saturation throttle (11) and first and second resistors (12), (13). Unit (10) can include condenser (14), impulse transformer (15) with primary and secondary windings (16), (17) and auxiliary seventh, eighth and ninth dischargers (18-20). Device is connected to rails (23) by clamps (21), (22) and rail circuit equipment (26) to by clamps (24), (25). Thus, transformer (7) is connected between rails (23) and rail circuit equipment (26). First discharger (1) is connected between transformer (7) outputs at rail circuit equipment (26) side. Second discharger (2) is connected between transformer (7) outputs at rail (23) side. First discharger (1) is connected between secondary winding (11) outputs of transformer (7). Unit (10) is connected parallel to second discharger (2) outputs, one output of which is connected to first output of primary winding (8) of transformer (7). Second output of second discharger (2) is connected to second output of primary winding (8) of transformer (7) over saturation throttle (11). Third discharger (3) is connected to first primary winding (8) output and first secondary winding (9) output of transformer (7). Fourth discharger (4) is connected to second primary winding (8) output and second secondary winding (9) output of transformer (7). Fifth discharger (5) is connected to first primary winding (8) output of transformer (7) directly and to first secondary winding (9) output over first resistor (12). Sixth discharger (6) is connected to second primary winding (8) output of transformer (7) directly and to second secondary winding (9) output over second resistor (13).

EFFECT: extended functional capabilities, prolonged life time and improved device reliability.
