FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the technology of tobacco refuse processing. The method involves extracting common heather flowers with liquid carbon dioxide and separating a respective miscella. The tobacco material is mixed up with carbon dioxide, extracted and shredded by relieving periodically the pressure in the extraction mixture below the pressure of carbon dioxide moist steam at extraction temperature. Then the miscella and meal are separated. The meal is suspended in an aqueous solution of an edible acid. An edible polyatomic alcohol is introduced into the suspension, the suspension is formed, dried to a residual humidity of 13-15%, cut and treated with the miscella mixture by raising simultaneously the pressure. The pressure is relieved to atmospheric one by freezing simultaneously the soaked carbon dioxide and the latter is sublimed to obtain a target product in the residue.
EFFECT: improved organoleptical properties of the reconstituted tobacco and shortened duration of the technological process.
