SUBSTANCE: optical disk for single recording and the method and device for recording controlling information on the optical disk for single recording are provided. The optical disk contains at least one recording layer and at least one entry point for the sequential recording range (SRR). Each SRR entry point corresponds to the SRR and contains at least one status field for indicating the state of recording of the corresponding SRR. Status field contains an indicator of the beginning of the session for indicating if the SRR corresponds to the beginning of the session. The session forms a range group SRR. Each SRR entry point additionally contains a beginning address field, indicating where the corresponding SRR begins, and a last field address, indicating the last recorded address of the corresponding SRR.
