FIELD: treatment facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of neutralising acid industrial effluents, in particular, to the methods of neutralising quarry and underspoil sulphate-containing waters of mining enterprises. The method implies neutralisation of the acid sulphate-containing effluents by lime milk and precipitation of the suspended particles produced in the presence of a flocculant. Neutralisation is carried out by 5% lime milk up to pH=9.4-9.5, an anion flocculant with the concentration of 5-8 mg/L and pyrite final tailings of ore-dressing production with the concentration of 2.5-10.0 g/L are introduced, mixing and settling follow. The anion flocculant Floerger AN 905 SH is to be preferably used as the flocculant. The used pyrite final tailings are to preferably contain ~ 38% Fe and ~ 36% S.
EFFECT: invention provides for the neutralisation of sulphate-containing effluents which allows for decreasing the sludge volume and thus facilitates further dehydration and disposal of the sludge.
