METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECONSTITUTED TOBACCO Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A24B3/14 

FIELD: tobacco products.

SUBSTANCE: method includes common buckwheat bloom extraction by non-polar liquefied gas to obtain the specified extract. Then the tobacco material is mixed up with liquid carbon dioxide, extracted and shredded by relieving periodically the pressure in the extraction mixture below the pressure of carbon dioxide moist steam at extraction temperature. Afterwards, miscellas and meal are separated. The meal is then slurred in the water solution of acid salt of edible polycarboxylic acid, the edible polyatomic alcohol is introduced in the suspension. Then the suspension is formed, dried to a residual humidity of 13-15% and cut. The cut material is steeped in gas-liquid common buckwheat extract and previously separated CO₂ miscella with simultaneous pressure increase. Then the process of depressurising to atmospheric pressure with simultaneous freezing of soaked carbon dioxide and its distillation is carried out to obtain in the remnant the target product.

EFFECT: shortening the duration of technological process and obtaining reconstituted tobacco with improved organoleptical properties.
