FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of flying vehicles. The proposed folding sweep ward steering surface of the pilotless flying vehicle is fixed on the flying vehicle body to turn relative to the axis of rotation passing through the point of its attachment to the vehicle body and being perpendicular to the folding steering surface centre surface. When folded, the steering surface is arranged along the flying vehicle body in flight direction and against the incoming air flow. Unfolding of the proposed steering surface is effected with the help of actuator unfolding device and by exploiting incoming airflow.
EFFECT: increased flutter-preventive characteristics, reduced time of unfolding and simplified unfolding.
