FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly to the method of making impregnated mica-containing tape. Mica paper is stuck onto a substrate made from fibreglass and the fabric of the work piece is then impregnated with a polyetherimide compound with viscosity 100-200 seconds on B3-4, using a lacquering shaft on the side of the mica paper of the fabric of the work piece. After that final impregnation of the mica paper is done on a passing heated shaft at 30-80°C temperature.
EFFECT: proposed method provides for quality impregnation of mica paper and provides for the possibility of regulating amount of saturating compound.
