FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: reduction of the effect of starter current is achieved by increasing induction torque at the starting time with optimum control of actuation as a function of torque angle. In the interval of changing sliding motion before reaching a given value, the motor is accelerated using starting resistor. In the interval of changing sliding motion from the first to the second given value, the actuating coil is cyclically switched from the active resistance to the actuator with unipolar accelerated voltage at the instant the electromagnetic torque of the actuator coil reaches maximum instantaneous values. To calculate optimum control of actuation, current and voltage values of the rotor are used. On the interval of sliding motion, less than the second given value, exciting voltage with a constant sign is applied, thus providing for the motor pulling in step.
EFFECT: design of a method of starting synchronous motor with voltage over 1000 V, providing for improved trigger conditions.
