FIELD: textiles; paper; packing.

SUBSTANCE: package workpiece is made of flat workpiece cut out by means of a moulding tool. At that, workpiece has the first and the second sections coinciding with front and rear sides of package correspondingly. Besides workpiece has pairs of side sections hinged with the first and the second sections which comprise lateral sides of package, and end sections which comprise upper and lower end surfaces of package. At that, flat workpiece is folded in two, at least along one folding line thus forming the first part and the second part laid one on the other so that the folded workpiece first has flattened configuration. At that, each of side sections is connected with one of two parts of workpiece and has preferable folding line separating the first internal side section from the second external side section, which are located so that the second external sections can be folded as per preferable folding line. At that, at least one section of one part faces the corresponding side section of the other part so that when folded workpiece unfolds thus forming a package the corresponding side section will overlap and close the preferable folding line.

EFFECT: producing folded workpiece wherefrom on weighing-and-packing machine there can be produced cardboard boxes or packages of any specified shape, and namely packages with hinged cover and having curved ribs.
