SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy field, particularly to composition of gray cast iron. It can be used for manufacturing of internal-combustion engine details. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 2.8-3.2, silicon 2.8-3.2; manganese 0.8-1.2; molybdenum 0.4-0.6; magnesium 0.001-0.003; copper 0.4-0.6; cerium 0.15-0.25; berillium 0.001-0.003; boron 0.11-0.15; lithium 0.0001-0.0002; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: cast iron allows high thermostability.
