SUBSTANCE: invention relates to armaments. The proposed device registers the spectrum IR band energy in space at the line-of-sight distance. If the rate of variation, the energy revealed by the photo receiver matrix pixel varies at, is within the range limited by the known maximum and minimum IR source radiated energy variation rate at the moment of firearm shot, then the availability of shot is disclosed. The shot location angular coordinates are defined by the address of the photo receiver matrix pixel (line and column numbers) that received the said energy. The angular coordinates definition accuracy depends upon the number of pixels in aforesaid matrix and the lens field of vision.
